Donna Roggio 🇺🇸
(President-Elect, 2024-25)

I am proud and excited to be serving as President of Rotary eClub Ibiza International for the 2026-27 Rotary year. For me, this role is about bringing people together, encouraging collaboration, helping worthwhile projects move forward, and making sure members and associates feel included, valued, and part of the life of the club.

That focus on people has shaped much of my professional life. My background includes owning and operating hair salons with teams of up to 52 people, business coaching, and creating financial organization software for entrepreneurs. Across all of that work, I have always enjoyed building strong teams, supporting people’s confidence, and creating projects and events that bring people together with a clear purpose.

What first drew me to Rotary, and to ReCII, was the opportunity to serve while building genuine friendships. I believe that when people come together with shared values, good things can happen - not only for the people we hope to help, but also within the group doing the work.

That is one of the reasons I value ReCII’s eClub model so much. Online meetings make it possible for people with busy schedules, family responsibilities, or frequent travel to stay involved. Our in-person gatherings then give us the chance to enjoy one another properly, have the longer conversations, and build the friendships that make a club feel alive.

This year, I am especially looking forward to helping members collaborate on events, projects, and initiatives that support others in practical, thoughtful ways. I want every member to feel that their ideas, experience, and presence matter, and that there is room for them to contribute in a way that feels natural.

If someone is curious about Rotary but not sure whether it is for them, I would say: come meet us. Rotary is a place where you can serve, meet new friends, enjoy rewarding experiences, and find your own way to be useful. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what your role will be. Sometimes the best way to understand ReCII is simply to join a meeting, meet the people, and see where you feel at home.

I was drawn to Ibiza because of the feeling it gave me. I love the diversity of the island, with different cultures, backgrounds, and nationalities all coming together. A typical dinner with friends may include people from six or more different countries. I also love that people dance at every age, something that feels lost in many other places.

The island’s natural landscape is incredibly special to me, as is the lifestyle: travel, spontaneity, siestas, and slow conversations shared over food.

Throughout my career, whether in the salon or through my coaching work, I have always been drawn to helping people feel seen, heard, confident, and valued. Ibiza feels deeply connected to that same spirit, and so does ReCII.

Ronnie Bohler 🇩🇪
(President, 2025-26 / President-Elect 2024-25)

After serving as President of Rotary eClub Ibiza International, I am pleased to continue supporting the club and the Board in the 2026-27 Rotary year. ReCII is a project I care about deeply, and after two years of Board experience I know how much energy, patience, humour, and teamwork it takes to keep a young club moving in the right direction.

My professional journey began in Germany. After secondary school, I spent 13 months in social service at the Intensive Care Unit of the University Hospital of Freiburg. I then moved into banking with Deutsche Bank, earning my Financial Management in Cooperation qualification from the Bank Academy in Frankfurt. Because I spoke German, English, Spanish, and French, Deutsche Bank posted me to Ibiza, a move that shaped the rest of my life.

After banking, I gained further experience on the island in a law firm, tax bureau, and gestoría. Since 2012, I have been self-employed, assisting non-tax residents with purchasing and managing holiday homes, navigating taxes, and arranging mortgages with Spanish and international banks.

I first came to Rotary through my friend Denise Klischan. What made me stay was the idea behind Rotary itself: people coming together to serve, create useful projects, and make things better in practical ways. There are challenges, of course, but I have also seen how much can be achieved in a short time when people are willing to work together.

This year, I would like to help keep the spirit of the club strong and support the newer members of the Board as they settle into their roles. Those of us with Board experience know what the work involves, and I am very happy to be an ear, a sounding board, or a helping hand where needed. Together, we are always stronger than we are individually.

Outside Rotary, my husband and I love travelling and discovering new places whenever we can. I think most club members know me fairly well already, as I am something of an open book. But if anyone would like to know more, they are welcome to reach out, bring a bottle of wine, and ask!

Virginia Martin Muñiz 🇪🇸

This year, I will be the link between Rotary eClub Ibiza International and The Rotary Foundation. In plain English, that means keeping in touch with the Foundation and making sure our club is up to date with everything we need to know. The role also comes with training, so I will be doing the courses provided by the Foundation. I am really looking forward to it, and I hope I do a good job.

I am a lawyer and consultant, and I run my own law firm. Over the years, I have completed several master’s degrees and training courses, including Advanced Management and NLP Practitioner training.

I recently launched my own firm, Solutions with Soul, where we work with a great team of professionals and offer a complete service to our clients.

I think what I bring to ReCII is a mix of professional experience and life experience. I enjoy working with people, I am quite energetic and empathetic, and I like getting involved in projects that make a difference.

What first drew me to ReCII was, honestly, the people. Everyone seemed friendly, interesting, and good fun, and I thought it would be a nice group to be part of.

I also really like the eClub model. Online meetings make it easy to stay involved, even when life gets busy, and the monthly face-to-face meeting is a great chance to catch up properly.

In my role this year, I am still finding my feet, so I do not have anything too specific in mind yet. Right now, I am simply looking forward to getting involved and helping wherever I can.

If someone on Ibiza, or connected to Ibiza, is curious about Rotary but not sure whether it is for them, I would simply say: give it a go. You never know until you try, and it is a great way to meet interesting people while giving something back to the community.

Away from work and Rotary, I love reading, being outdoors, and spending time around a good table with friends. Cooking is one of the things that helps me switch off after a busy day.

I am also really interested in personal development and understanding how people communicate and connect.

As for Ibiza, it is impossible to choose just one place, but I love an early dinner overlooking Talamanca Bay, or watching the sunset at Cala Comte.

Two books I never get tired of recommending are The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Marie Antoinette by Stefan Zweig.

Denise Klischan 🇩🇪

(Founding President 2024-25 / Vice-President & Acting Treasurer 2025-26. Rotarian 2012-ongoing)

I am the Treasurer of Rotary eClub Ibiza International for the 2026-27 Rotary year. In plain English, that means I make sure members pay their dues, and I help manage the club’s funds for both our service projects and our IBZ PRO activities.

I have worked as a lawyer for nearly 25 years, which may be why Donna thought I was serious enough to be Treasurer. Nobody will dare not to pay their dues while a lawyer is in charge of the accounts!

I have always felt drawn to Rotary because I like the idea of being part of a global organisation, while also contributing in a practical way to making the world a little better. When I had the opportunity to found ReCII, I was especially thrilled. Finally, Ibiza had the diverse, English-speaking Rotary club I had been wishing for, and talking about, for a long time.

I also believe strongly in the eClub model. In our modern world, a weekly in-person meeting schedule is very challenging for many people. At the same time, I think it is important to meet weekly, stay in contact, and build friendship. Many of our members live in different places, travel a lot, work demanding schedules, care for children, or manage single-parent responsibilities. Rotary becomes much more possible when the meeting is only a mouse click away.

Our monthly in-person meeting is very special to us precisely because it happens only once a month. You do not want to miss it. It is also open to family and friends, which gives us time to talk properly, catch up, and strengthen the personal contact that helps friendship grow.

This year, I am looking forward to helping ReCII spend its money wisely and support as many people as possible with the budget we have.

If someone on Ibiza, or connected to Ibiza, is curious about Rotary, I would invite them to join us for three or four months and find out if Rotary fits into their life. People need to know that Rotary is a commitment, both in time and in taking on responsibilities. If someone is not willing or able to commit in that way, Rotary is probably not their thing. But if they are, they get a lot back: a group of people who stand beside them and may become new friends, the satisfaction of doing something meaningful in their free time, the chance to give something back to our beloved island, and, of course, business network opportunities.

Away from work and Rotary, I love cooking while the music is turned up really loud. I can spend hours doing that. It relaxes me and helps me disconnect from work.

Nicole Bruder 🇩🇪

(Acting Speaker/Meeting Chair 2025-26)

This year, I have the honour of serving as Membership Chair for Rotary eClub Ibiza International. This role means a lot to me because it gives me the chance to help our club grow with more wonderful and engaged members.

I love working with people and bringing people together. After studying Business Administration, I worked in different sales positions, and one thing I learned is that the most important thing is not simply to sell an idea or a product. The most important thing is to give people a good feeling and to show real interest. I think that experience will help me in my role as Membership Chair.

I first found ReCII at the end of 2024, when I read an article about the club in the Ibiza Life Report. I recognised Denise, whom I had got to know some years before, and she invited me to join one of the online meetings.

What I value about ReCII’s model is that the English language allows us to communicate with many international members and guests. I do not live on the island for the whole year, so the mixture of online and in-person meetings fits very well for me.

In my role this year, I am looking forward to giving our club a special drive, so that we can really say we are the coolest club in the world.

If someone on Ibiza, or connected to Ibiza, is curious about Rotary but not sure whether it is for them, I would say: join us at one of our online or in-person meetings, or meet us at an event or common activity.

Away from Rotary, Pink Floyd is the music that accompanied me on the island. One of my favourite Ibiza memories is learning windsurfing at the age of eight, in 1980, at the beautiful Salinas Beach. Sooo beautiful.

Jörg Fabri 🇩🇪

This year, I will be in charge of organising our online meetings for Rotary eClub Ibiza International, including finding and introducing interesting speakers!

My professional background is quite long, almost 38 years. Much of my work has been around energy and chemicals, and later also in management consulting and investment management. Today, I focus on project development for green energy projects, including hydrogen and batteries.

I have been a Rotarian for quite a long time, 28 years, and was a founding member of a Rotary club in Germany. I became aware of the newly founded ReCII directly after its foundation and became an Associate Member, or Amigo, straight away. More recently, I became a full member of ReCII, as I am now spending much more time on Ibiza.

What I strongly appreciate about ReCII is the diversity of nationalities in the club, which makes one common language, English, very important. The mix of online and in-person meetings is ideal for the situation of many members, who need to travel a lot but can still participate in club life.

In my role this year, I would be happy if we can achieve high participation in our meetings because the themes are interesting - and often exciting! There will be a lot of direct connection to the challenges and opportunities on Ibiza, where ReCII is committed to supporting wherever possible.

If someone on Ibiza, or connected to Ibiza, is curious about Rotary but not sure whether it is for them, I would say they should not be scared at all! “ReCIIs” are nice people and there’s real friendship within the club. Plus, taking part in projects that help others can be great fun! It can also bring real satisfaction to help turn difficult situations into something better.

As for something more personal, I do things mostly with my heart and with a strong belief in benefiting others.

I love the specific spirit of Ibiza, especially in places that have maintained something of the special flavour of the 70s, like Las Dalias, Can Suldat, and L’Amorigen.

Cat Milton 🇬🇧

(Publicity Chair, 2024. 2025 - ongoing)

I joined Rotary E-Club Ibiza International to give back to the island I’m fortunate to call home, using the skills I’ve gathered over a lifetime in writing, photography, social media, strategy, and more recently, AI.

I’ve always been charity-focused, and the chance to combine that with service to Ibiza’s community - both human and environmental - felt like a natural fit.

As Publicity Chair for the third year running, I help to share our work through social media and the club website, raising awareness of our projects and of the E-Club model itself. You’ll often find me behind the camera at events, writing articles or updates, or quietly making sure the website reflects all that our members are achieving. I couldn’t single out one project as my favourite - each is unique and invaluable - and it’s simply a privilege to be involved in any way I can.

What I value about ReCII’s eClub model is slightly different from some of my colleagues. I am naturally introverted, borderline reclusive, and yet I really wanted to take part. If I had to attend an in-person meeting every week, that simply would not be sustainable for me. But attending online meetings three times a month and then meeting up in person once a month with colleagues I like, adore, and admire, means that our monthly gathering is a genuine joy and something I look forward to.

What inspires me most is seeing how the varied skills and experiences of our members come together to make a genuine difference. Rotary shows me every day that when people connect with purpose, lasting change is possible.

Ramona Balota 🇷🇴

(Secretary 2025-26)

I am preparing for my role as President-Elect of Rotary eClub Ibiza International, looking ahead to the 2027-2028 Rotary year. For me, this is a time to observe, learn, take action where needed, and prepare myself to serve the club with care and purpose.

I first joined Rotary in 2022 as a member of the Rotary Club of Ibiza, and in 2024 I became part of ReCII. Since then, I have contributed to projects connected with menstrual health, local support, and international humanitarian aid. What first attracted me to Rotary was the idea of making the impossible possible through service and collaboration.

Professionally, I am a lawyer and partner at Balota & Klischan in Ibiza, specialising in international real estate law. I work with clients from around the world, and I try to bring both professionalism and warmth to that work. Those values carry naturally into my Rotary life, along with a positive attitude and a real sense of joy in being part of the club.

What I value deeply about ReCII is its open, international spirit. I especially enjoy our in-person meetings, where we have the chance to meet people from many different backgrounds who are connected to Ibiza. For me, the club is a place where friendship, solidarity, energy, and compassion can become real action.

To anyone curious about Rotary, I would say that it is a wonderful way to experience Ibiza through an international community, friendship, and service. It opens the door to people you may never otherwise meet, and to projects that allow you to be useful in a meaningful way.

A book that inspires me is Trust Life by Louise Hay. I believe real change begins within us, and that small, consistent gestures can bring light into many lives.

I joined Rotary in 2012, following in the footsteps of my parents, both Rotarians. From the start, I was inspired by Rotary’s ability to connect people across the world to achieve far more together than we could alone. Over the years, I’ve met so many inspiring people whose perspectives have broadened my own and deepened my understanding of different cultures.

This year, I’m honoured to serve as Vice President of Rotary E-Club Ibiza International, supporting our President, Ronnie, and stepping in whenever needed. I see my role as helping to make his job easier, so the club can continue to thrive.

Two initiatives stand out for me: co-founding the Rotary Action Group for Menstrual Health & Hygiene during the pandemic, bringing dignity to women and girls worldwide, and founding ReCII itself – a vibrant, committed club dedicated to giving back to Ibiza.

Professionally, I’m a real estate lawyer and a power mentor. My work has shown me both the extremes of privilege and the true meaning of purpose, and it inspires me to use my skills to create lasting social value. Rotary gives me that opportunity – and the happiness that comes from giving to others.

Emma Torres

I’ve been part of Rotary E-Club Ibiza International since its founding, drawn by the chance to help others and support Rotary’s seven key areas of focus.
This year, I’m continuing as Foundation Chair, working to deepen my knowledge and ensure our club can keep contributing to meaningful projects.

One of the initiatives I’ve most enjoyed was “The Warrior’s Rest,” created for hospitalised children with chronic illnesses and special needs. My professional life is deeply connected to inclusion - as CEO of Ibiza Inclusion Fashion Day, the world’s first fully inclusive fashion show, and as an educational psychologist and therapist supporting children and teenagers with diverse abilities. I’ve also led projects ranging from equine and canine therapy to augmentative communication for children with cerebral palsy, inclusive workshops, and music therapy in elderly care homes with violinist Linus Roth.

Being part of Rotary inspires me because it connects us to thousands of people worldwide who share the same vision: helping others. Together, we are stronger.

Marie Turri

I joined Rotary E-Club Ibiza International in 2024 with no Rotary experience at all - just a family rooted deep love for Ibiza and a good friend in the club who encouraged me to come along. From that very first meeting, I knew I’d found something special. Our group may be small, but it’s full of life: different personalities, energies, and perspectives all working together toward the same goal of making a difference. Whether we meet online or in person, these moments and the projects we share have become a valued part of my life.

This year, I’ve stepped into the role of Membership Chair. I want to make sure that anyone who joins feels the same sense of belonging I did - and that they share our values and enthusiasm for helping others. I’m always looking and listening for people who would be a natural fit for our club’s spirit.

When I first met our founding president, Denise, I realised I’d been carrying the essence of Rotary in me for years: a love of connecting people, of helping where I can, and of building community. My own life has had its twists and turns, and I know what it means to receive help - which is why I offer it whenever possible.

Outside of Rotary, I split my time between Cologne and Ibiza, working with Lufthansa Group since 2005, planning B2B events across the DACHB region.

Philip Baumann

I’m based in Winterthur, near Zürich in Switzerland, and since 2015 I’ve had the privilege of spending four to five months a year on Ibiza. Professionally, I’m trained as an economist and business administrator, with a strong focus on business development and IT in healthcare. I speak five languages, mostly without an accent, and enjoy putting them to good use.

I’m a founding member of Rotary E‑Club Ibiza International (2024) and was immediately convinced by our club’s hybrid meeting concept, its deliberate openness and diversity, and the fresh entrepreneurial spirit of our leadership. 

Since March 2025, I’ve served on the Board, responsible for planning and organising our weekly meetings. I want to help the club grow in both numbers and quality, maintain its momentum, and continue shaping a contemporary, impactful model of Rotary.

Away from Rotary, I love Ibiza’s history, art, beaches, music, and cuisine and find myself passionate about protecting, regenerating, and sustainably preserving our beautiful island.

I’m happiest on my mountain bike with the Reynolds de Ibiza Team. I’m also the proud grandfather of two wonderful grandchildren, who keep my heart young!

Donna Roggio

I joined Rotary E-Club Ibiza International in 2025, drawn by the values of service, collaboration, and meaningful local impact. The invitation came through friendship and trust, and what I discovered was a club that felt both welcoming and purposeful - a place where people genuinely care about giving back.

Professionally, I’m an entrepreneur, business coach, and financial organization mentor with over 25 years of experience supporting small businesses. I previously owned and operated multiple hair salons in the US, and over the past decade my work has focused on helping entrepreneurs, particularly women, gain clarity, confidence, and structure around their finances. I currently lead a financial organization software program designed to bring transparency and ease to both business and personal finances.

Within Rotary, I’m especially proud of my involvement with Ibiza Professionals, an initiative that brings English-speaking entrepreneurs on the island together to connect and build community, with Rotary as its foundation. I’ve also been part of the team behind ReCII’s first annual fundraiser, which raised €8,500 in its first year. What stood out for me was the power of shared leadership, clear roles, and strong collaboration.

As incoming president, my focus is on strengthening the club’s foundation, supporting smooth leadership transitions, and building systems that allow ReCII to grow sustainably while protecting the energy of our volunteers. I believe clarity, trust, and good organization allow people to focus on what matters most - service and connection.

I’ve lived internationally for many years and purchased my home in Ibiza in 2018. The island feels deeply grounding to me, and I value the strong sense of community shared by locals and expats alike. Outside my professional work, I’m drawn to nature, creativity, and thoughtful gatherings, and everything I do is guided by the desire to leave a meaningful legacy for my daughter.

Denise Klischan

I’ve been a lawyer specializing in real estate law and running my own law firm in Ibiza since 2007.

I joined Rotary in 2012 because I’ve always believed in the Rotary spirit and its potential to make the world a better place. 

One of my proudest achievements has been co-founding the Rotary Action Group for Menstrual Health & Hygiene (RAGMHH). This global initiative helps keep girls in school and promotes healthier, more affordable, and environmentally friendly sanitary products. For me, being part of a worldwide project like this has shown me the true magic of Rotary. 

On a more local level, I also feel incredibly grateful every time we complete a project for the Ibiza community, giving back to the island I love so much.

As the founding president of the Rotary eClub Ibiza International, I’m so heartened to see how much this club has grown and how motivated our members are. My goal is to continue building a strong, united team where friendships and respect are key, all while staying true to Rotary’s values of community service.

Outside of my professional life and Rotary commitments, my biggest passion is spending time with people and hearing their life stories. I’m fascinated by the many different paths people take and what they make of their journeys. When I have time for myself, I enjoy sports, being around good people, and turning up the music loud.

As Bonnie Tyler sang, “All I can give is the way that I live.” I live by that philosophy and always strive to give the best of myself in everything I do, hoping to serve as a good example to others.

Fun Fact(s)

I count the steps when I climb stairs, but by the time I reach the top, I’ve forgotten how many there were! Don’t ask me why—I honestly don’t know.

Whenever I face a challenge, I play "Unstoppable" by Sia on high volume to remind myself that I can handle anything. Oh, and if you need a great book recommendation, I highly suggest Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. It’s a love declaration to life.

Deborah Sass

Deborah, the Secretary of the Rotary eClub Ibiza International, is the Founder and CEO of SpaceVerse, a global space community spanning 80 countries with over 10 million subscribers.

She has been a Rotary member since Rotary eClub Ibiza International was conceived, motivated by the passion of the club's president and the opportunity to give back to her community in a meaningful way.

One of her most powerful initiatives with Rotary so far has been the founding of Ibiza’s first professional networking organization, IBZ Professionals.

Outside of her professional and Rotary activities, Deborah enjoys listening to jazz, reading, hiking with her dogs, cooking Indian food, and gardening.

She loves spending her free time outdoors or engaging in sporty activities, enjoying solitude on her farm, sharing interesting evenings with close friends, and eating exotic food.

A keen gardener, she takes great pleasure in working on her ever-growing vegetable patch.

As a member of the Board of Directors, Deborah aspires to make meaningful contributions to various charities and organizations on the island. She is committed to supporting the Rotary Club’s mission and making a positive impact in her community.

Deborah attended a stage school in Australia during her high school years alongside many famous Australian actors.

Berta Navarro

Berta is a dedicated professional working at a notary office in Jesus, where she specializes in commercial, civil, and real estate law. Her primary responsibilities include preparing purchase deeds, mortgages, company incorporations in Spain, and various other legal documents. She is a crucial part of a highly efficient 15-person team known for their precise and synchronized work.

Berta has been a member of the Rotary eClub Ibiza International for a few months, driven by a desire to give back to the community. She joined Rotary to express her gratitude for her fortunate life and contribute to making the world a better place. Despite being new, she has already started contributing to the organization of the club’s first event, a celebrity-endorsed Yoga event (June 21, 2024) Additionally, she is excited about preparing a mental health project with other club members.

Outside of her professional and Rotary activities, Berta enjoys cooking for friends, reading a wide variety of genres, and tending to her orchids. Her love for music spans from Bach to jazz to rock to britpop, depending on her mood. She has a keen interest in architecture, particularly brutalist structures and bridges, and often spends hours admiring them. In her free time, Berta enjoys listening to the sea and sailing whenever possible.

As a new member of the Board of Directors, Berta aims to learn as much as possible about being a Rotarian while contributing to the club’s mission to help others. She is committed to making a positive impact and improving the lives of those in need through her time, effort, imagination, and enthusiasm.

Berta loves to sing despite (self-assessing!) not being very good at it - she enjoys singing in the car.

She finds inspiration in the movie "Good Will Hunting" and the album "Let It Die" by Feist, which has been a favourite of hers for 20 years.

Katie Lester Mulgrew

Katie, the Director of Membership for the Rotary eClub Ibiza International, describes herself as a "da Vinci" woman due to her varied interests and multiple job roles.
As an acrobatic circus performer, she has performed in shows with Cirque Du Soleil. Additionally, she works with tech startups, managing events and handling roles such as project manager, head of operations, IT assistance, and director.

Katie recently joined the Rotary Club, inspired by a best friend in California who was a club president and loved the experience. Although she hasn't been involved in any projects yet, she is eager to contribute to community initiatives.

Outside of work and Rotary, Katie loves traveling the world, spending quality time with friends and family, dancing to good music, and engaging in fun extreme adventures.
She also focuses on health and fitness, particularly enjoying stretching and yoga. Training for circus performances and brainstorming ideas for the future are other favorite pastimes.

As a new Board of Directors member, Katie's goal is to help the group grow organically and impactfully, ensuring everyone feels part of something great. She hopes to contribute to Rotary Club's mission and impact through outreach programs and utilizing her diverse skill set wherever needed.

Katie has visited six of the seven continents, with Antarctica next on her list.

One of the most inspiring books she has read is "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda.

Ignacio Reville

I serve as Sergeant‑at‑Arms for the Rotary E‑Club Ibiza International and, since late 2024, as our Youth Education Chair.

My background is in civil engineering, specialising in ports and maritime fields, and I have taught as an associate professor in two national Master’s programmes (MANEMPI and MG2PI).

I was a member of Rotary Club Alicante from 2009 to 2011, and rejoined Rotary in 2024 when I became part of this e‑club.

From the first meeting, I appreciated the mix of people, ideas, and energy we have here. I enjoy contributing as part of the Board and taking part in several of our project teams - it’s a chance to work alongside committed people on initiatives that make a difference locally and beyond.

As Youth Education Chair, I’m focused on helping young people connect with opportunities, develop skills, and see the value of giving back. Rotary offers such a rich space for growth - not just for the communities we serve, but for the members themselves.

Outside of Rotary, I enjoy music, walking, meditating, travelling, and meeting new people. My favourite film is The Untouchables, and while I’m a devoted Bruce Springsteen fan ("The Boss"), nothing moves me quite like live flamenco.
