On Friday, 7 November 2025, Rotary e-Club Ibiza International held its first annual fundraising event, Too Much Is Just Enough – Wear What You Dare, at the iconic Teatro Pereyra. What unfolded was a night of colour, generosity, and unmistakable island spirit.

Thanks to our major sponsor, the construction company, Sorin Sava Construcciones, the generosity of our guests, and the extraordinary talent of artists who donated their time, the event raised €8,500 - a remarkable achievement for our very first year as a club.

A Night That Looked and Felt Like Ibiza

Guests arrived in vibrant, bold, and playful outfits inspired by our theme Wear What You Dare - encouraged but never required. The result was a room full of personality: sequins beside denim, vintage lace beside neon, and a shared sense of fun that set the tone long before the first beat dropped.

Inside the theatre, the atmosphere never dipped. People danced, laughed, hugged their way across the room, and introduced themselves to strangers who didn’t stay strangers for long. There was an immediate sense of “we’re all here to give something back to the island we love,” and it held for the entire night.

We were honoured to feature performances from:

  • DJ Duo DSM

  • Ibango Tribe

  • Roxela & The Gang

  • Canallas del Guateke

  • Serena Dance

  • Magic Steve

We were also delighted by the presence of Creatives for the Planet, whose environmental passion and community energy added a beautifully grounded dimension to the evening.

To all our other sponsors, volunteers, and supporters - thank you. Your contribution helped bring the night to life.

What We Achieved Before the Fundraiser

A quirk of Rotary International is that our service year runs from July to June. So from July 2024 through to the night of the event on 7 November 2025, our entirely volunteer-run club had already completed an impressive range of community projects.

Here are just some of them:

Red Cross Ibiza

We funded nine new cribs and eleven baby carriers to support vulnerable families with newborns. These simple items change the daily reality for parents and offer their babies a safer start.

Caritas

ReCII raised funds to support Caritas’ work with the homeless, helping provide meals, clothing, and emergency assistance for those experiencing severe hardship.

Hirschsprung Association

We contributed to specialised psychological support for teenagers living with Hirschsprung disease. This work helps young people navigate the anxiety, shame, and social pressures of a condition most people never see.

Ibiza Classical Music Festival (Ibiza Conciertos)

We helped sustain the festival’s quietest and most meaningful tradition - musicians performing in care homes and hospital rooms for patients nearing the end of life. These concerts offer comfort when it matters most.

Proyecto Juntos – “Warriors Rest”

ReCII helped fund respite days on Formentera for children living with chronic or terminal illness. For families who spend much of their lives in medical settings, these days of freedom are priceless.

ADDIF – Yoga 4 U

We partnered with ADDIF to host “Yoga 4 U,” a community event that raised awareness of their work with people with disabilities and reminded us that giving can be as simple as showing up.

Ibiza Preservation Foundation – Beach Clean

Earlier this year, our members joined the Ibiza Preservation Foundation for a major beach clean, where we also connected with Creatives for the Planet, whose environmental commitment continues to inspire us.

Ibiza Professionals Networking Events

Every two months, ReCII hosts the Ibiza Professionals Networking events - open, friendly gatherings that connect residents from all walks of life. Each event supports a different local cause and has quickly become one of the island’s most genuine meeting points for collaboration and community-driven impact.

Where the Funds Will Go

Over the coming months, ReCII will share updates about how the €8,500 raised from Too Much Is Just Enough will be distributed. We remain committed to transparency, and we will publish details of each project and partner supported.

Looking Toward 2026

This first fundraiser was a joy from start to finish - a beautiful foundation built entirely by volunteers, supported by generous partners, and carried by the community spirit that defines Ibiza.

We learned a great deal along the way, and those insights will help us create an even bigger and more joyful event in 2026. The heart of it, though, will remain the same: people coming together to help the island be the best it can be.

To everyone who danced, volunteered, donated, performed, hugged, or simply showed up:
thank you.

You helped begin something that will support Ibiza for years to come.
